Do you know? Google’s cloud service Drive now offers Android users the freedom to annotate PDFs with a stylus or finger, as reported by 9to5Google.

Users with Android devices can take advantage of Google Drive’s PDF annotation feature by opening the app and selecting the desired file. Once the file is open, users can enter preview mode and click the annotate button located in the bottom right corner. A toolbar will appear with a range of annotating tools that can be used with a stylus or finger. These tools include a pen, highlighter, eraser, and undo/redo functionality, all of which come in different sizes and colours. Users can even snap the toolbar to any side of the screen by tapping and holding. To save the annotated PDF, users can create a new copy with everything or save it to the original file. It’s worth noting that the PDF annotation feature is not yet widely available on all Android devices, but Google plans to roll it out over the coming weeks.

In other news, Google is testing a new feature in the latest Chrome beta version that could significantly enhance the browser’s picture-in-picture feature. The feature, known as Document Picture-in-Picture, would allow web content to be displayed in a floating window that stays on top of all other windows, rather than just for playing videos. This feature could be particularly useful for video players that have custom UIs or for video conferences that show a grid of participants.
